until 2 July 2017
Netwerk - Centrum voor Hedendaagse Kunst, Aalst (B)

The supporting beam has become an iconic image for the twentieth century, for an ever expanding world of steel and concrete. Infrastructure lends humans stability and control over the circulation of goods and persons.
This series refers to this world under stress. Listening to the internal activity of solid structures reveals the transformatory nature of infrastructure itself and of the fabricated stability of these platforms, vessels and passageways (a metastability). Read more

Imaginary Landscape
9 April 2017 - 15:00
Concertgebouw Brugge (B)

An accordionist and a visual artist take us on a stimulating musical trail: between music and performance. Hoping not to lose track of the poetry, accordionist Barbara Ardenois and visual artist Anneleen De Causmaecker - together DUOBAAN – explore the boundaries between music and performance and sound and image: small, compact, close to the audience, stimulating and a little crazy. Both ladies have a taste for the contemporary - both in image and music - and prefer to work with 20th and 21st century composers. For Concertgebouw Brugge, they create a sound trail, with ping-pong balls, crackling cassette players and a new composition for accordion and sticky tape.

Nachtelijk Symposium

Première: 19 April 2019 - 20:30
19 April 2017
until 26 April 2017
KVS, Brussels (B)

Mesut Arslan places the actors and the text in artist Lawrence Malstaf’s installation of spinning tops. The audience is gathered around an open arena in which not only the tops, but also the characters, start revolving around each other. In this way the director sets the inner identity of a family and the surrounding audience in motion.

State & Ecstasy
Vårscenefest - Tromsø (NO)
25 April 2017 - 18:00
Peripheral Centre, Tromsø (NO)

Explorations of new working methods, the search of community, encounters with expressions across an I and a we – these were all starting points for this ambitious work. The premiere found place at an industrial site in Harstad during the Arctic Arts Festival in 2016, and earned great praise. Now, STATE AND ECSTASY is ready to be revisited, this time at Peripheral Centre at the summit of the Tromsø Island, and in closer proximity to both nature and people it asks again: How does the state fare? Who owns ecstasy today?

28 April 2017 - 19:00

You never really know what will happen when Amund Sjølie Sveen and his comrades enter the stage. Well, one thing we know; he swings his verbal ammunition high and low, left and right.
Nordting is more a public meeting meets standup meets political meeting meets concert meets performance than anything else. Actor, writer, journalist and musician Amund Sjølie Sveen is known for making stage productions aiming directly at the elite; the people with power and money. He also questions the position of art itself in today's society.
With Liv Hanne Haugen.

On a beach near Calais a young refugee prepares himself to swim across the Channel, towards his new future.
The new text by author Gaea Schoeters is mirrored by recently recovered Shakespeare-text. Composer Annelies Van Parys uses the Shakespeare-text as a libretto for a cycle of songs, which set the refugee theme in a historical perspective.

Compass 02005 is an orientation machine to wear around your waist. It directs you left and right while walking. It guides you through virtual corridors, rooms and doors programmed in the physical exhibition space, or any location. The apparatus imposes an attraction or repulsion on your waist, like you are in a magnetic field. You can explore this environment and discover a tactile architecture. The machine is programmed to make you follow an invisible map but you can choose between resisting to the machine or giving in and letting yourself be guided.
